I was really surprised at how much you can see in these. I was also very pleasantly surprised at how little they vibrate.

Very nice. :D As far as how much you see in them, I usually only use mirrors as a first check then I actually look back when I change lanes. How much did they set you back?

Thanks, and they set me back $100.

I agree -- they ARE nice-looking. But beauty and aesthetics aside, since you mention your surprise regarding how much you can see with them, and the main function of mirrors are, after all, to view things behind you, howzabout a photo of one of the mirrors from the riding position showing us their field of view so we can have the literal and figurative total picture?

I always figured mirrors on a motorcycle were just to plant the idea in your head that something is back there. not really needing to count how many bars in the grill,,,,, but I turn my head anyway too.
Long as OP never forgets to clear his lane change he'll be ok.

Okay here's what I did. I sat on the bike with my truck behind me. Put the camera in front of my face and turned toward each mirror and took a picture. I did not zoom in but I also did'nt lean back either. The pictures look like I zoomed in but it must be the way the camera is. Anyway this is what I see:

I am interested in your old stockers if you still have them.

I do still have them but will probably hang on to them just in case. If I change my mind I'll let you know. I've pretty much kept all the stock stuff I took off the bike, you never know what may happen.

Okay, now we need some pictures of what they "see" when you're riding!

 :joke:

Lookin' good...I like what you've done to the bike!

looking good. I got the same set of mirrors from here: http://www.demonscycle.com/Metric-Motorcycles/c221928-1-2/ free shipping plus metric adapter bolts included.

Ok, I'm confused.... I was all set to order these Bikemaster Sickle mirrors, best price was about 87.00. But the link to the demonsycle ones, look like the same exact ones for half the money...???? They both say there billet, also, not sure what's up with the bolts in the pictire of the demonscycle ones, how do they mount???

Billet...haha...I really doubt that either of them are billet. Both are made in China, probably at the same factory. Same goes for my $90 "Billet" headlight.

They probably machine a little area on the cast aluminum and call it "billet".

I just received mine. I am afriad they are not going to work for me. I do not have risers so the angle is not giving me the reflection I need. Going to call to see if it is possible to return them Monday. Don't get me wrong they look good but I cannot use em. Good luck.

Just rotate your break/clutch lever a bit doesn't take much.

Oh so true. How many people here REALLY know what billet means? Most just think that means they are quality.

Figures, I would love to find some good (Made in the USA) real billet, no die-cast mirrors... Anyone know of any?

BTW - why do some of the mirrors hardware show a couple bolts instead of the adapters that are threaded on both ends? How would you mount the ones with the bolts? (since you would need to get underneith to run the bolt through??

DC is right. I had to do the same thing when I installed mine. Just loosen the break/clutch perch and rotate towards the front tire.

I think they just took a stock photo of some hardware, because you have to have double-ended studs (called metric adapters) to mount mirrors to the VTX (or almost any other metric for that matter). Hopefully, they would send you the correct adapters if you order from them.
